Oh Cocopah...

Last night we returned to Cocopah Speedway.  With a lot of our usual help out of town, we were down to a skeleton crew, but managed to have both cars race ready and competitive (thanks Andrew!).  Sean Callen's #11 street stock looked good with  new paint and body (so new that the numbers went on at the track).  Sean used his head and patience and drove to a 4th place finish in what is traditionally a nutty, wreck-filled class.

All the work that we've been doing with the #21 should have payed off last night.  The car ran great and we were headed for the front.  Unfortunately, others wanted to get to the front faster than us, and apparently by whatever means necessary.  There were 12 pro stock at the beginning of the night.  Two finished.  Enough said.
You can check the YouTube link to the left for videos.

Until next time...

  1. First off, good job to Sean, ran a very nice race. When I watched your heat race I was excited to see you square off against Samala. Watching you slowly pick people off and move to the front, I thought to myself that you and your car were both in top form. Unfortunately both the street stock and pro stock finals turned into demolition derby's. When Rascon bumped you and you went off into the wall, I thought you might be able to recover. Then you got hit twice and me, my dad, and some friends all felt bad for ya. Watching your car get towed off I could only imagine what it felt like for you and your crew. No matter what your next move is, keep your head up, and your family and friends close. Glad you walked away from the crash, and for what its worth you had some fans there at the track that night who believed you could take down Samala.
