Almost...

Straight from the driver...

"In our heat race our car was hooked and moving we jumped to the lead and with in a lap our flywheel broke and caused a huge vibration so I pulled in. Andrew Loper and Rex Buffington pulled the tranny(the 2nd of the night, they had just swapped a tranny for Shannon Mohamad sport mod) and switched out the flywheel like a couple of nascar crew members, before the main we threw the kitchen sink at the car because the track was so dry and dusty, on the first lap I hung back not knowing what shenanigans would happen and it looked like Brett Simala ended up receiving them from an excited driver. After that it was a single groove track but surprisingly the car showed lots of forward drive I pulled up to the leaders bumper and door a few time but would have had to turn him for the win. We ended up 2nd with no enemies and a car intact, I try to race everyone the way I want to be raced and I know Joey hains would race me the same way. Also a big congratulations to Sean Callens on driving a perfect race in his heat and main event and getting his first win ever in the sport mod class."

Check out the race videos on our Youtube channel.  There was great racing in all divisions.

We made a friend

The April 26th race didn't end quite like we would have liked.  Oh well.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

And that's how it's done, son!

There were only 6 cars in the pro stock field, but a win is a win.  We hope to see more cars in the field soon, but we really can't complain.  5 races into the season and we are the points leader.

I'll just put the trophy right here...where everyone can see it.

Track photography was nice enough to snap a pic for  us (so I'm actually in a photo!)

In Like a Lion

March started off well.  At the March 15th event at Cocopah Speedway, Brent drove to a victory.  There was some good racing all around.  It's a small class, but it stays competitive.

On March 29th, we returned to Cocopah Speedway.  The car still showed good speed and performance, but a couple of hiccups sent us home with a third place finish.  No photos of this race, but there is some fun GoPro footage:

Second

Second race of the season, second place.  I think Andrew summed up the night best with, "I know what our problem was.  The 17 ran a perfect race."  I think we can all handle simply being out raced.

2013 Turkey Classic

Well, well, well...
Finally some results.

After a bit of a rough patch, we made it to the track for the big event.  The Turkey Classic, formerly held at Imperial Speedway and now at Cocopah Speedway is always one of our favorite events.  The event was a two day show held Friday and Saturday.

So, Friday didn't turn out well...

The shiny new body and wrap didn't have one corner left untouched, but the crew stripped it down to the bones and got to work piecing her back together again.
Saturday turned out to be a better day, but it got off to a rough start.
Fortunately, the boys got 'er fixed up again in time for the main.  In an impressive showing (for twice-wrecked--maybe more; I lost track--racecar), we finished third!
Imagine what we could do if everyone would stop hitting us!
